Nestling between the “Karnischen Alps” and the “Lienzer Dolomites” lies the most unspoiled valley in Europe – the Lesachtal!
At our place you will find the peace and recreation you are looking for. In the middle of this enchanting, fairytale-like area lies our guesthouse Waldfriede. Off the main road – surrounded by forest and fields – several wonderful hiking tours start directly in front of our house. Behind the façade of our inn, which we have purposely kept in a traditional style, you will find a light and friendly well furnished dining room and a comfortable guest lounge! In the guesthouse there are the new renovated guest rooms and our sauna with recreation guarantee!
Weekly cosy summer barbeque evenings in our outdoor dining area are there for fun and entertainment. Fun is also guaranteed at our hiking tour, where my husband is waiting for us on the Alpine pasture with a hearty soup from the copper pot.
With an enormous variety at the breakfast buffet you will always have a good start in the morning. Culinary treats are waiting for you in the evening. You can choose the main course from our three course meal and help yourself from the salad buffet.

The ski area Golzentipp is about 15,8 km west from us and you can get there by car. It is a peaceful family ski area far away from stress and crowded slopes. With a chair lift and four drag lifts you will be brought up to 2200 m. Favourable ski card prices!!!
Even at peak time you will not have to deal with long queues and will almost have the slopes to yourself. It is an idyllic and peaceful experience.

Once a week we have an evening where we present specialities and tasty traditional snacks from the valley, Lesachtal or buffet evening, coffee and cake (tea and biscuit), sparkling wine breakfast on Sunday.
You can choose the main course from our three course meal in the evening and help yourself from the salad buffet.
We also guide you with joy through our enchanting winter landscape at a romantic flambeau walk. Our own ice stock track next to the house will re-awaken the sports person in you.
After your winter activities, get yourself warm again in our sauna.
