This status was awarded thanks to 2500 years of surviving local culture and tradition, and also thanks to the outstanding natural beauty of our surroundings. One of the highlights of the winter months is the celebration of Advent in the Salzkammergut and the many events which are organised.
We have so much winter fun to offer, living in the mountains, but we are also far enough off the beaten track to manage to enjoy the peace and quiet!
